The GoldFinch Story
The Crisis of On-Premise ERP
For the last 25 years, we have helped hundreds of companies implement their ERP systems. We are still amazed by how technology could transform a company’s business.
We had a lot of fun with On-Premise ERP implementations in the 1990’s and 2000’s, but, around 2010, more and more clients expressed concerns about their trusted solutions. They started asking great questions.
1. Why does it take months, if not years, to implement?
2. Why does it cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to implement?
3. Why does it have such high risk of failure and can potentially bring down a business if it is not done right?
4. Why is it so expensive to maintain and tedious to upgrade?
We love what we do every day, so these are questions we had to answer for ourselves as well.
Cloud-Based Technology Presented an Opportunity
We were introduced to Salesforce in 2010 when we tried to implement another CRM solution for one of our clients
and we were intrigued by the technology. We evaluated Force.com platform closely and were quickly attracted by its cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) model.
It was eye-opening for us to realize what was now possible for us… and for our clients!
Leave behind expensive infrastructures such as Windows, SQL, RAM and hard drives.
Focus on industry functionalities, not backup/restore, and virus protection.
Take advantage of features such as workflow, alerts, security that are built in already.
Click a button, instead of merging objects when we upgrade – saving time and money.
A Decision that We Would Never Forget
When our CEO, Scott, returned from his vacation in Cancun, he said that implementing ERP does not have to be excruciating. Instead, it can be as relaxing as lying down on Cancun’s beaches. To accomplish this, we need to write our ERP running in the cloud using Force.com!
As big of a task as it would be, it is not that crazy.
We know what our clients want after 20 years. Many clients chose to work with us for many than 15 years.
We are great software developers and consultants.
It is possible to help our clients minimize cost by expanding our client base.
We quickly assembled a team to start the project and, after more than 15,000 hours, and 3,500,000 characters of code, we had our GoldFinch ERP app for Food industry certified by Salesforce.
The results are remarkable:
It takes minutes to have a new instance created and have our GoldFinch app installed and configured.
Our clients can work from anywhere, any time and from any device as long as they have an internet connection and a browser to log in.
Uptime and performance are guaranteed.
The upgrade takes a click.
With a fraction of the cost to implement GoldFinch ERP solution and the speed of implementation, our clients are extremely pleased. They are also impressed with how easy it is to use the system.
